Deforestation doesn't only accellerate climate change, it is also one of the biggest drivers of biodiversity loss. Reforestation offers a solution, but only if it seeks to restore natural forest habitat by planting a wide range of tree species. Our tree planting initiative in Indonesia does just that, with donations being used to support community-level efforts to collect and grow 30+ species of saplings in village nurseries, before planting them out into areas of historical deforestation once they are large enough to survive.
